Florence County Parks and
Recreation
Located on
Lynches River in the Pee Dee region, this
popular day use park features a river swamp
with towering cypress trees as well as
sandhills offering a wide variety of
vegetation. Popular activities include river
fishing, canoeing, nature trails, and
picnicking. Our 11,000 square foot community
building can accommodate groups of 20-400
people. This facility is great for birthday
parties, family reunions and wedding
receptions. Improved overnight facilities
include cabin rentals, RV campsites (no dump
station), campsites include access to
restrooms with shower capabilities. Other
park amenities a handicap accessible canoe
launch, canoe and kayak rentals, and
handicap accessible riverwalk are some of
the main attractions of this 676-acre park.

How to Get There:
From Florence: Take
US 52 south for
12 miles, take the first right past the
Lynches River Bridge onto Old Number
4. Go 2 miles and turn right onto County
Park Road.
Lynches River County Park offers canoes and kayaks
for rent for those wishing to see our natural resources and wildlife on
the Lynches Scenic River. Call Florence County Parks and Recreation at
(843) 667-0920 to reserve a canoe or kayak for a 2-hour paddle from
Lynches River County Park to the Hwy. 52 boat landing. Only two persons
allowed per canoe and all persons under the age of 18 must have an adult
in the boat.
Built for
canoe and kayak enthusiasts, this
handicap accessible canoe launch is
excellent for putting in or a take out
point for paddling down the river. The
different levels of entry were designed
specifically to assist all entering or
exiting the Lynches Scenic River
regardless of the water level.

Lynches River County
Park cabins rent $50 per day for Sunday through
Thursday. Weekends include Friday and
Saturday nights for $120. One cabin is
handicap-accessible and each cabin
sleeps 4 to 6 persons. Each cabin
includes a HVAC unit, refrigerator,
toaster, a small microwave, stove,
cutlery and most kitchen appliances. A
grill and picnic table is located
overlooking the Lynches River.
