Town of Olanta |

 The
Town of Olanta is in the southwestern corner of Florence County.
It is linked with Florence and Manning by US Highway 301 and
with Lake City and Johnsonville by SC Highway 341. Olanta is
very near Woods Bay State Park which features a Carolina Bay
complete with alligators.
Olanta is a community of approximately 704 residents (2000). It
proudly sponsors the Gator Festival the last week of October.
Olanta has a mayor-council form of government. |
