Florence County Parks & Recreation offers Dixie Softball for ages 7-15. Under the Florence County Parks & Recreation umbrella are 4 different parks that offer softball: Coward, Scranton, Pamplico and Johnsonville. Players are zoned to play at the various parks according to which boundary their physical address is included. Nearly 300 players participate in Spring softball each year for Florence County. The registration fee is $35 per participant before the late fee.

All Florence County Volunteers (coaches, board members, team moms) must obtain NAYS certification that is current and up-to-date. Florence County Parks and Recreation offers 3 free clinics each year that is offered to prospective first-time coaches that also pays for one year’s worth of NAYS certification.
