Florence County EMS Special Operations Trailer is stationed at the Headquarters of EMS, on 527 S. Church Street, Florence. This is a specially built multi-purpose unit. Its primary function is as a support unit for operations, to provide a point for rehabilitation for emergency workers in the event of large scale incidents, and to transport extra necessary equipment to the scene. It also carries a generator, traffic direction cones, and two canopy tents. This can be used to establish an area for a command post. Several of the staff QRV's are equipped with hitches to enable them to carry this trailer to the scene. The roles that this unit serves are still being decided.
