The above is the service area for responding units in Florence County. This shows ambulances provided by Florence County EMS and the area Rescue Squads, and the Alpha QRV's (Quick Response Vehicle). QRV's are stationed in areas that are fifteen minutes or more road travel time from Florence County EMS units. This allows for a response to stabilize the patient until a County ambulance can arrive, if a squad unit is not available. The town names written in orange represent Rescue Squad Ambulances that in most cases actually stand for 2 or more ambulances in each place.
