May 2000 A single vehicle has
overturned. One patient is in danger
nearly under the unbalanced truck.

The truck has been secured now,
so the occupants can be safely
removed.

The roof has been removed, to
allow access to the driver and the
other passenger on top of her.

May 2000 Large fire in strip mall
that contains American Red Cross
Blood Services

FCEMS stands by for injuries
and to back up the rehab area for
firefighters.

Red Cross was a complete loss.


May 2000 This Blazer and trailer
were hit by a car at a crossroad.
Driver was thrown out from here.

This is the passenger side. She was
trapped by the steering wheel and
dash and roof crushing in.

The back of the Blazer and what
is left of the trailer. It was hauling
fence wire rolls and metal stakes.

Driver and passenger were OK.
Rear seat passenger was thrown
out into the yard. The stakes flew
through the air like arrows.

May 2000 This truck broadsided
a truck and boat that ran a stop
sign.

Does this look like a truck? Boat
trailers obviously are pretty solid.
Suprisingly, the driver suffered only
a fractured collarbone.

May 2000 This car is completely
under this tractor trailer. The rear
wheel set of the trailer is on right.

This is the rear of the car. You can
just see the car wheel under the
tractor wheel here.

The inside of the car, still under the
trailer. The break in the windshield
is from a support to the wheels that
intruded inside.

April 2000 Rural onto city streets.
This car was unfortunate enough
to hit a mailbox that would not 
move, just bend slightly. It is in 
bottom middle.

Closer view. The impact totally
destroyed the passenger front
section. Driver was thrown into
the windshield and steering wheel.


April 2000 City streets.
2 cars and truck/trailer accident, 
with 5 patients.

The driver of the car in the middle
had facial injuries, and crawled
out to the other side of the road.

The driver of the third vehicle in the
accident is removed. 3 others still
to come out.

April 2000 SUV has left roadway
and rolled over into the woods at
high speed. Driver entrapped.

After extrication, a Squad Member
gets out from inside, where he was
helping remove the driver.

Mar 2000 Busy rural highway.
Tractor Trailer T-Bone into driver

April 2000 7 year old on a ATV
is struck by a car, which then
strikes a pole.Look at ATV wheels.


Child was picked up and thrown
by car onto hood and windshield,
then onto roadway.


Car windshield broken by impact
with child, and driver and passenger
hurt by impact with pole.

Jan 2000. Car vs tractor trailer,
impact on trailer portion. 2 Patients.
Driver side door was crushed in
when engine compartment bent.

Barrott continues the process
of immobilizing and splinting the
driver after Howe Springs Fire
& Rescue has provided access.

Grand AM versus a tree on a back
road at night. Outcome always the
same.
