Medic Twelve is a 2000 Ford Diesel F-350 XLT Superduty Chassis with a module remanufactured by TransMed for the 2000 product year. It is a Type I module with halogen strobe lighting all around, and a high volume fuel tank. The walk-through compartment area has been sealed to provide air-tight containment when this is used as a morgue unit. This unit is not marked in the normal ambulance manner, so there will be no mistaking it for one on scenes.

Florence County EMS Medic Twelve is stationed at the Headquarters of EMS, on 527 S. Church Street, Florence. This is a specially built multi-purpose unit. Its primary function is as a support unit for operations, to provide a point for rehabilitation  for emergency workers in the event of large scale incidents, and to transport extra necessary equipment to the scene. It also is used as a morgue unit as needed, and is equipped with items to facilitate morgue duties, such as sanitary equipment, isolation gear, and breathing-air packs. At the discretion of the Shift Supervisor, he or she can transfer their administrative setup over to this unit and respond to a scene to establish a command post. The roles that this unit serves are still being decided.
