Medic Five is a 1998 Ford Diesel F-350 XLT Superduty Chassis manufactured by Wheeled Coach for the 1999 product year. It is a Type I module with a strobe package all around, and Eurocab styling. It features vertical backboard storage, and interior/exterior access to the compartment used for walk-in equipment.

Florence County EMS Medic Five is stationed in the EMS portion of the of the Florence County Public Services building on 345 S Ron McNair Blvd, Lake City.  The present Station Supervisor is  Lt. Gene Avin. This is a 24 hour full time ALS unit. It responds to calls mainly in the rural areas around Lake City and the suburban areas to the lower south side of the county. South Lynches Fire and Rescue, and Lake City Fire Department respond as first responder agencies in their respective service areas.
