On December 17, 1999, Florence County Emergency Medical Services held our formal Grand Opening Ceremony at the new EMS Headquarters at 527 S. Church Street. Diginitaries attending included Florence County Council Chairman Tom Smith, Councilmen Herbert Ames, Waymon Mumford, Terry Alexander, John Floyd, and County Administrator Joe King, Representative Hugh Leatherman, Dr. William Cauthen, and others too numerous to mention.
