Three employees recently returned from the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Professional Standards Officer David Exum, Shift Supervisors Peggy Timmons and Wyman Lowder attended a two week course on Management of Emergency Medical Services (MEMS).

The course allows attendees to interact with their counterparts from widely divergent services across the country, and attain differing viewpoints and ideas for solutions for problems commonly faced by all.

With this completion, the majority of the senior staff have attended this course. We plan to start sending mid-level management staff to this and other courses.

The next round for senior staff is the Advanced Logistics in EMS (ALEMS) course, which has already been completed by Director Gary Horn.
