NOTICE
Effective
July 1, 2005 the City of Florence began enforcing the newly created Design
Overlay Districts in
association with the Downtown Revitalization efforts. Any person, within
the overlay districts, wishing to obtain a permit through the Florence
County / Municipal Planning & Building Inspections Department must
obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness as prescribed by Section 2.9 of the
Consolidated Zoning Ordinance from the City of Florence Urban Planning and
Development Office by contacting one of the staff members listed below. Please see the link below which allows you to view the new
