Francis Marion University
Francis Marion University is a four-year Liberal Arts
University, which was established in 1970, was formerly the
University of South Carolina at Florence. It is located on a
309-acre campus, seven miles east of Florence. The University

to area citizens.
Francis Marion offers undergraduate programs in the arts and

Education System has been a model for the nation since 1961. In

(located at each of the state s 16 technical colleges) provide
specialized programs to help new and expanding industries to
meet their initial training needs. The Special School located at
Florence-Darlington Technical College has provided start-up
